Our child and family care teams provide care services to children including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, cerebral palsy and diabetes. We also offer specialist care to help children with the likes of Asperger’s, sensory impairment and a range of behavioural needs.
Children and their families are introduced to their team of care and support staff, because those relationships are particularly important in this area of care. We tailor every care plan to suit the child’s needs and always treat people in a way that we would like to be treated ourselves.
We understand that working in partnership with all concerned in the child’s wellbeing is the only way to provide a safe environment so that each child can develop a range of skills and realise their potential. We can also provide respite support for parents.
Our vision is to ensure that children with special needs, and their families, experience positive outcomes and are given the best possible support to live their lives to the fullest – whatever that means to them.
My father’s Care & Support Worker is very caring and because of her support and positive attitude towards him, he is able to remain living at his home address. The Care & Support Worker liaises with my family and if at all unsure discusses with them. They keep my father happy reminding him of his meds and making him lunch and drinks.
