Learning disabilities
Many individuals in the UK have a learning disability, which means they can have difficulty understanding new information, learning new skills or coping independently.
People with learning disabilities should:
-
Have a say in where they live and who they live with
-
Have a range of different housing options available to them
-
Be supported to live as independently as possible
More and more individuals with learning disabilities or difficulties are experiencing a better quality of life with care and support at home, which can make their personal outcomes, dreams and aspirations a reality. Our person-centred learning disability support plans focus on this.
Focussing on supporting the individual rather than caring for the individual is very important to us. It allows individuals to live their lives as independently as possible.
Our team are well trained and fully experienced in caring and supporting individuals with learning disabilities, as well as supporting their families. We are a member of BILD which helps us further developing our training and our services.
We tailor each learning disability support package to each person, using staff with relevant training and experience. Matching our professionals and our customers to your satisfaction is extremely important.
“I would like to compliment my carer for her good work. She is very organised, quick and efficient. She knows my needs and support me in everything I need. I feel very comfortable with her and confident.”
