A diagnosis of MS can be a shattering experience, but it needn’t put all your plans on hold and nowadays it doesn’t require moving into a specialist facility to get the support you need.
We train our multiple sclerosis care and support workers through the MS Society, who also help us in further developing the services we provide. Many of our care and support workers have had a great deal of experience supporting individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
My father’s Care & Support Worker is very caring and because of her support and positive attitude towards him, he is able to remain living at his home address. The Care & Support Worker liaises with my family and if at all unsure discusses with them. They keep my father happy reminding him of his meds and making him lunch and drinks.
