After a stroke, life can be very different and you may need to make big adjustments and deal with daunting challenges. We can help you through this transition and beyond, helping you enjoy a better quality of life and living comfortably at home.
Many of our care and support workers have had experience working with people who have had a stroke. We continually look to develop the skills and knowledge of our care and support workers and we use the resources of the Stroke Association to ensure we’re up to date on latest developments.
We tailor care and support to each person, beginning with an initial discussion with you and your family to make sure we understand exactly your needs and the care you’re looking for.
“My elderly father had a bad fall and as a result needed home care whilst he recovered. On contacting Avant, the next day Maria came to visit us and talk through the service. I was so impressed with the compassion shown by Maria and the time she gave to us to help us put together a care plan. We immediately felt so relieved and knew we were in good hands. The care service my father received from there onwards was outstanding. The carers are understanding and very professional. Maria stayed in touch to ensure my father was comfortable with the care being received. I can’t thank Maria and the Avant team enough. I would highly recommend Avant, very professional at all times.“
My father’s Care & Support Worker is very caring and because of her support and positive attitude towards him, he is able to remain living at his home address. The Care & Support Worker liaises with my family and if at all unsure discusses with them. They keep my father happy reminding him of his meds and making him lunch and drinks.
